Video Learning Series

E-mail Print PDF
We're planning a ONE-NET video series that will augment and supplement our Seminars.  We’ll post the videos to You Tube as well, so they’ll be easy to share.

The first video will be an overview but will be followed up by specific, in-depth videos on different subjects.

Subjects on the table for now include:
- Transceivers: Current list, the importance of interoperability and what makes them ONE-NET compliant.
- Security: Encryption, Nonces, etc.
- Link Budget: why is this important

If you have any suggestions for topics, please post your responses in the General Comments section of the forum.

Vladimir Kostritsa is officially a ONE-NET Code Monster as he's ported the MSP430. His work can be viewed in the the forum.

Vladimir states: "The client based on CC430F6137 works. Both ‘AUTO’ and ‘SERIAL’ (no CLI) modes are OK. I tested ‘invite’, ‘peer’, ‘single’, ‘data rate test’, ‘remove device’ and ‘unassign peer’ commands. Everything looks good. Did not tested user’s pins yet, but will do it shortly.

Forum debuts today

E-mail Print PDF

Pending any technical difficulty, the forum will launch this afternoon (PST).

UPDATE: The forum is beginning to come online now.  I've moved the LOGIN prompt to the left menu area to free up screen space for smaller monitors.  Sections will come online throughout the afternoon.

UPDATE 2: Everything appears to be working.  Once you are logged in, you can access the forum from the left menu.  We will grow the sections as we go, so if anyone has any questions or suggestions, please leave them in the general discussion forum.

UPDATE 3: With the forum officially launched, an interesting discussion has broken out in the "Ideas to Grow the Protocol" section.

UPDATE 4: I've increased the forum timeout from 30 mins to an hour so people have time to formulate responses.

UPDATE 5: I've created a "My Profile" menu item for those wishing to edit or their profiles or upload an icon.

Fast Fact

ONE-NET is resistant to spoofing and replay attacks because it uses embedded nonces and nonce tracking to ensure unique packets and source verification. The Key update rate can also be set per system to allow individuals even greater control over their security levels.
